One of my favorite websites and one of the ones I use the most is Google (www.google.com). It is a wonderful search engine that is easy to use/navigate. Whenever I have to research topic I go right to Google to do a search. One of my least favorite websites is Wikipedia (http://www.wikipedia.org/). It is very unreliable because anyone can add articles that are not correct. The website is very confusing; the page is centered on different languages. When I look up information I want to have reliable sources and with Wikipedia it is never a guarantee. Google also has image search and advance searches and the page is very clear which makes research so much less stressful. The Wikipedia home page is very confusing. For Wikipedia there should be a link to a page that provides different language instead of having all the different languages on the home page. This is frustrating because I only want links to English documents. At the bottom of the home page there a bunch of links but the all start with “wiki” in the title so it’s hard to understand what they lead to. On the page the search bar is not clearly defined. It also has like lists of more different languages and I’m not sure what the point is. The website should have reliable sources. I know that in my classes the teachers specifically say not to use Wikipedia sources because the information is probably not correct. What is the point of having an informational website that we cannot use for classes. One positive thing for Wikipedia is the logo/graphic (the puzzle globe) is very nice. Google, there is an icon then a simple search bar right in the middle of the page. Then at the top of the page there is a little toolbar that lets you access g-mail, an image search, news, etc. The website is very clear cut. It is the one I rely on the most. This website is very popular and so many people use it that “to Google” is now a very frequently used term. The thing I like the best is that every link on the home page has a specific place that it takes you and leaves no question of what lies ahead. When I use a search engine I want it to be quick and easy to find the information that I need. I don’t want have to choose what language because I can only use English websites. Another problem I don’t want to have to worry about the information I’m getting, in terms of whether it is correct. So with the choice between the two I will always choose Google.

informal blogs movie mania, movies, website idea 3:52 pm
My website will be a movie website called Movie Mania. This website will have movie times from local theaters. The website will also have movie trailers and sneak peeks of new movies coming out. There will be a place to purchase tickets and gift certificates for local movie theatres. There will also be movie blogs where viewers can comment on the movies they have seen. On the main page there will be a daily movie quote. The audience of this website is movie goers and people who like up to date information about new movies that coming out. Its one web page where people can see what movies are playing, what previous viewers have felt about it, an opportunity for that person to leave a comment, learn information about movies that are up and coming (interviews with actors/trailers/reviews),and purchase tickets with out long lines.

informal blogs facebook, favorite website 7:27 pm
I would have to say my favorite website is Facebook. I go on this website numerous times a day (I know, very pathetic). The thing that I like about this website is that you can in touch with people who you don’t see often. The website is very easy to navigate and use. I like the fun feature you can put on your very own web page. One of my favorites is the bumper sticker application, where you can send and receive bumper stickers that have fun phrases and pictures. Almost all college students have a facebook and now high school students have them also. I like that you can share pictures with one another. I also like the fact that you can add all different kinds of application to form a unique page. I am not sure what I would add but I’m if they don’t have it already they will. So not only is it a way to keep in touch, it is easy to use, and personalized, it is the website that I use the most. The url is www.facebook.com,
